Our Story

Destiny, hope, hard work and happiness.

New hats to wear, metaphorically and practically

You never know when life is going to pick you up and wring you out. Sometimes it takes its time about it too.

The great thing about being wrung out is that you’re ready to soak up new ideas, new plans and new places. Looking back, we crossed paths so many times without meeting, schools for our kids, outdoor markets, train rides, seconds or meters apart and missing each other over and over again.

Our high school reunion finally brought us together again. Kindred spirits? Soul mates? No cliché can really describe how it feels to know you are truly and unconditionally loved.

With that kind of love, dreams are whispered, growing into possibilities, and then, with lots of work, they become reality.

Jumble Farm is our dream. 50 Hectares of granite filled red soil, rolling down to the Murrumbidgee river, framed by the Tinderry and Clear Ranges. This is the traditional land of the a Ngarigo people of the Monaro region, to which we pay our respects to past present and future generations.

Our primary goal with Jumble Farm is to support our family and local community with nutrient dense, sustainable and ethical food. Where we can, we hope to share our food with others in our larger region (Canberra and the Snowy-Monaro).

We aim to build a whole farm organism that rejuvenates the land and enriches the soul, where our livestock can express their true nature, and our flora grows free of poison.

Our preferred method is Biodynamic, a wholistic, observation based method that emphasises the deep connectedness of our interaction with the land, plants and animals we tend.

You can follow our journey on Instagram, here with our journal and on our Facebook farm page.
